G'day Blogging maties Today we went for a drive to a lovely place called the Megalong Valley.
Went we got there we stopped at the Megalong Tea Rooms where the pinkies had some lunch and we got to watch them eat.
They sat underneath this magnificent gum tree. Isn't it beautiful? They were a little nervous that a branch was going to break off. Gums aren't the strongest tree around.
The Megalong Valley is a great little spot only about half an hour from our house but it's a world away. 
There are only about 50 families living in the Valley and many of them are cattle farmers.
Over the last few years people have started growing grapes in the valley and we decided to stop at the Dryridge Estate Winery to do a little wine tasting and of course this always leads to buying!
Isn't this winery in a fantastic spot. The views are stunning.
We hope to come back again real soon.

What fun you must have had. The pictures are so good. Your D is sure a pretty gal (for a hooman!).
Our folks have done the wine country of Northern California,farrr North Idaho and also NE Pennsylvania. Yes, and they always buy a few bottles after the tasting too. They have never invited us to go along, but we did get to go to Smiling Dog Brewery with them once.:<)

What a fabulous spot Megalong Valley is! It's just gorgeous! What do you mean you watched the pinkies eat at the Tea Room, Noah? Didn't you and the girls get a hand-out too?!
It takes us about 45 minutes to climb to the top of the Giant and of course it's always faster coming down!

Wow! Jake is still sleeping, but I get to tell him when he finally drags himself out of bed that *I* got to go on a pawesome trip to Australia this morning. The Megalong Valley is beautiful! I felt like I was rolling through a blue-green tunnel, and the views were stunning at the end! You and your family look like you had a wonderful time! I'm glad you shared the pictures, and I'm sure I'll look at them again when Jake wakes up!

OMD, Noah....ur gonna be in a book??? Can we buy it???? That is totally fabbers!!!!!!!!!! Those pics of the wine country are so pretty!!! Did ur peeps give ya any???? Hmmm...D.'s not into sharin' huh???? I had NO IDEA you guys have chewin' gum trees!!! Are there little packets of Wriggly's Spearmint on it? We're movin'...on the rare occasions we've found gum, it usually ends up in our beardies....

oh noah... what a beautiful place to be! this megalong valley is a little gem -- cows and wine..what more could you ask for...chase a cow for a bit then stop for a nice wine tasting -- i could get used to that.
of course that little ride through the trees was a bit scary though... the driving on the left side when you least expect it can be just a tad freaky -- sort of expecting someone to be right there as you go around the corners!!! although the humomm did drive all over england and wales a couple springs back.

Geez...what a beautiful place ta visit but it's a miracle ya got there alive cause yer drivin' on the wrong side of the road mates....ya need ta get the pinkies ta take a few drivin' lessons there so yer all safe....
so if the pinkies were tastin' wine what were the 4 of ya tastin'....just the fact that the 4 of ya were along means they were tippin' the cup beforehand...'n Gram wishes she was along fer the that ride fer sure....she loves wine.....

Oh Noah, that looks like it was a fantastic trip to Megalong Valley. It's so pretty! I would have been whining like crazy on that drive through all the trees. Since I'm a city dog, anytime I see trees like that, I figure it means we're near a park and so I start my whiny squeaking to beg my girl to stop the car and let me out.
