Lets make some cheese !

Hi hi everyone, it's me Tess coming to you from Bryan's recliner. We hope you all had a happy Christmas. We got some pretty cool presents this year. This lovely stuffie came all the way from Molly, Taffy & Monty's house in the UK. Sadly, it no longer has any stuffing but that's ok, we can still toss it around. Thanks pals.

This one that Willow has came from another dale pal in the UK. Thanks Dexter. It to has been destuffed courtesy of Lucy!

She tries to look all innocent but no one is fooled. Lucy, you're trouble girl !

We'd also like to thank our dale pals Ludo & Otto for the cool stuffie they sent us. It's gone to toy heaven now but it was fun while it lasted.

The big news here is D & B have decided to start a new venture. Last week D ordered a cheesemaking kit online. It arrived just before Christmas so now D & B are learning to make cheese They started with this simple soft white cheese called Quark which originated in Germany. Here it is hanging so all the whey drips out leaving the curd. Once it is dry enough B said he's going to make a yummy berry cake with it. I hope I get to try some.

Finally, check out this little guy. It's a baby bat that fell off its mum. Our friend Jane who volunteers for WIRES is looking after it. He thinks Jane is his mum lol. Can you see, he's eating a piece of apple.

Well that's all for today. Oh by the way, it has rained non stopped since Christmas morning. What happened to the hot Aussie summer we sang about in our song??? Actually, we're glad for this rain because it's been very dry and our garden really needed a big drink.
Have a great week everyone.
Tess xx

I am always amazed about the number of defekhtive stuffies out there -

However do they lose their stuffing sooooo easily?

As 'they' say: BEHOLD THE POWER OF CHEESE!

Khool bat kid too!

Great presents!! Its been raining here in Bris non-stop too. Unfortunately its really humid as well :-(
Happy cheese-making!

Cheese! How wonderful. We love any kind of cheese around here. Hope it turns out like it should.

All of our stuffies quickly meet the same fate as yours. Lucy does look like trouble - surrounded by unstuffed stuffies. But if they squeak...well...you just have to keep going until they are dead. It's the Airedale way.

Loving this cool weather!
cheers,
Ruby and Gracie

Suffies sure have a short life expectancy at your place.

Cheesebags, huh. Watch out. Soon they will want their own cow.

P.S. I was afraid to go outside yesterday because momma says it was raining cats and dogs. Disturbing.

Hey Pals. Hope you had a wickedly good Christmas? Sorry for being awol. Mom's fault. She had the frantics. Frenzies too.

But MMMMM. Cheeese on your bloggie. My favourite. Truly scrumptious. Mom loves making baking bread. Would be terrific with your cheese and maybe a bit of pickle. Or Marmite. Ok. Even Vegimite. No Noah. Not with Hoki fillets. Perhaps some of Brian's berry cake to follow. Show us a picture of it when it's ready?

Happy New Year to you all down under. Wiry love and kisses Eric xx

Cheese, ey?!
Pinkie knows a thing or two about Quark (from the tasting end, not the making end) as it was always in their house in Germany when she was growing up.
Apparently it's great on toast with jam, too, and for face masks! She says, the cat used to lick it off her face. We said, YOU HAD A CAT???

Dear Tess,
Destuffing is my favorite pastime, but I'm trying to pace myself and have only destuffed one of my christmas presents so far. My brother Keeley does not do any destuffing. Isn't he weird? His little room is filled with all the best stuffies but I'm not allowed in there. Sometimes I cry at the gate because I want at all those glorious stuffies just waiting to be destuffed. My humans ignore my cries and tease me by calling me a crybaby. But what are stuffies for if not destuffing? Thank you for your understanding.

Teagan

Hey, Noah!
Mom says that the anise overpowers the eggnog flavor so if you want more of the eggnog flavor, cut way back on the anise or maybe don't even use it? We just wanted to let you know this!

Love ya lots

Happy New Year!

Cheese making! wow! that's the ultimate in knowing where your food comes from, I reckon. I'll be interested to read some posts on how it goes. I'd like to know whether it's incredibly complicated or reasonably easy.

Lots of rain... that's good in one way. Well, it's actually good in every way, I suppose, given the drought. But let's hope you don't actually get too much, and end up with floods. What a strange world we live in!

Hi all - oh wow, cheese, being made in your own home? We're packing our things and we're on our way....!

Your stuffies look like great fun - it's such a shame they don't last very long isn't it - sigh!

Hey, that bat is kinda cute - we biggified the picture to see it munching on the apple!!

Hope you have a good new year too! Schnauzer snuggles - JD and Max.

Hi guys...
huh.. the poor stuffy pressies didn't know what hit em. But mom is a bit stand off -ish with that bat. She is squeamish looking at the photo. Good thing there are human friends like Jane who help these mates out.

Yummers cheese! How long does the process take?
