Almost Famous

G'day maties
What a day we had. There was a TV show being filmed here at our B&B. It's called The Sydney Weekender and it 'aires' every Saturday afternoon. It's a show about all the things you can do in and around Sydney like restaurants you can eat at, or places you can visit or B&B's you can stay at. All sorts of touristy things. The host of the show is Mike Whitney. He used to play for the Australian Cricket team and since 1995 he has hosted this show.

Well he is also a dog lover and had to meet the Leuradales. D asked him if he would have his photo taken with me. I didn't really want to because I'm camera shy. Next minute B picks me up and plops me down next to Mike. So yeah, I had my photo taken...................a couple of times.....

Lucy gave Mike lots and lots of kisses. He met Willow & Tess too and was interested in hearing all about us. He now knows that Lucy has special needs hehehe...I guess he figured that out pretty quickly.

The show was actually here to feature a comany called Auswalk (a company that organise walking tours throughout Australia). They use our B&B when they have people who want to do walks in the Blue Mountains.

It was such a hectic day. B is going to be on the show but D hid in the kitchen hehe. He was filmed welcoming the guests to our B&B.

D & B had to cook a meal for everyone, about 11 people and it was all filmed. Mike filmed a shot in one of our guest suites so hopefully he gave our B&B - Broomelea a good plug.

D would have loved the Leuradales to be in the TV show but it wasn't too be. Their loss hehehe.

PS. It goes to' aire' on Saturday March 27. It's going to be funny seeing B on telly.
