A week of storms and rain

It's been a very wet week here in the mountains. After the great weather we had while we were on holidays we've come back to more rain and mist.

Last weekend B thought it would be a good idea to chop down a tree in our backyard which had been hit by lightning about 6 months ago. It was well and truely dead so I kindly held the ladder as B made his way up all the way to the top of the tree. As it was too dangerous for me to help out I took some happy snaps instead.

Here is the dead tree.
Here is Bryan chopping it down
There was a storm that day and D made sure that B wasn't up the tree during it. Thank dogness he listened to her. Some pinkies can be a little stubborn!!! He said don't worry lightning never strikes in the same place twice...............sigh.

We've had a series of storms nearly every day this week. Then on Wednesday night we had a doozy and at about 7pm that night we had a blackout. Lucky for us it only lasted about 45 mins so D took some photos of us sitting around in the dark.

Bryan and Lucy sharing the lounge

Tess making herself comfy on D's chair

Lucy keen to check out the candle

We sure hope this rain goes where it's needed.

Noah

The Community Blog Award

This award "The Community Blog Award" is to recongnise bloggers who celebrate those who reach out & make the blogger community a better one. It also underlines the importance of a blog's readership community, one of the most rewarding parts about blogging. It's those who come back to comment, adding to the conversation making you feel like someone is listening and interested.

We'd like to thank our friend Thor for giving us this top award. We're overwelmed. Thanks Thor.
We would now like to pass this award onto Amber-Mae, Stanley, Asta (up over) and Harry and Cassidy.

Our award

We've been given this wonderful award from some of our new friends

This award is presented to a successful blogger,

one who can "be the blog" - making it their own,

staying with it, interacting with the readers and

just plain having fun

We would like to thank our new maties from around the globe for this honour. They are Lacy Lulu, River, Mojo and Agatha & Archie.

We love reading their blogs too. They are really special to us as are all the blogs we visit. Being part of Dogs With Blogs is a great experience and we can't believe how welcoming everyone is. Just like little Mojo, we've only been blogging for such a short time so being awarded with this truely mean a lot to us.

Thanks.

We would like to pass this award onto Maggie & Mitch, Jaffa aka Stinky and Marvin our Scottish matie.

Hugs and tail wags
