Our new driveway

G'day blogging maties,
Well we've been so flat out this last week we're only just playing catch up on reading all your blogs. I had a very important project to oversee. The pinkies decided they'd had enough of the old concrete driveway/guest carpark so they pulled it all up and laid pavers.
They called upon me to supervise. I did a wonderful job even if I do say so myself.

Here is what it used to look like:

Bryan used a crow bar to break up the concrete. Then D & B filled that big bin you can see right to the very top. The truck that came to take it away couldn't lift it so a bigger truck was called in to take it away. Crikey was it full and heavy.

Then they laid sand and leveled it all out.

Hey, we don't have time for games!! Get on with the job!! Sheesh

Then the hard work of laying the pavers began. I explained what they should do with the pink string to get their lines straight. B seemed to pick it up well. Thank goodness I was there. God knows what it would have looked like if I didn't help out.

Stanley, B took this photo just for you matie.

Now we have a spiffy looking driveway and everyone is happy. It was hard work though and at the end of each day we were all very exhausted. Even Tess was tired and she didn't do anything to help.

We hope everyone is having a happy and safe Easter.

Jeannie, Brooke & Greg's visit part 2

G'day blogging maties,
I must tell you about the weather here in the Blue Mountains. It can be unpredictable and change at the drop of a hat. On the day that our distinguished guests arrived we had a glorious morning. The sun was shining and everything was clear. By lunchtime a little cloud was settling in and then the horrid mist arrived. By the time they got here the mist was set in and we weren't going to see anything. Now this was very bad because the Blue Mountains is renown for the views and Jeannie came specifically to see the 3 sisters. Well my friends, the only 3 sisters Jeannie got to see were Willow, Tess & Lucy.......big big sigh!
Here are some pics of the wonderful views which were non existent as you can see.
Saturday afternoon and here they are at Echo Point, the most famous of all the lookouts in the Blue Mts. Just behind the girls you should be able to see the 3 sisters but noooooooo. D looks weird cause she was having a bad hair day. She doesn't usually get around with that thing on her head.

The Sunday wasn't much better. At least the rain held off but poor Jeannie still couldn't see anything.

In conclusion, Jeannie, you'll just have to come back!!!!!!!!

ps. D & B are in the process of laying new pavers on their driveway, hence the delay in visiting your blogs. I am trying to get them to finish this big job soon cause we miss you guys!

Jeannie, Brooke & Greg's visit part 1

G'day blogging maties
Check out this photo

Yep that's the Leuradales with our very special guests
Brooke, Jeannie & Greg
This is the only photo D took the whole time they were here !
Look at Lucy would ya. On the table as usual.
She was beside herself with excitment. Luckily our visitors are true dog people and didn't mind the fact that Lucy was all over them, all over the table, all over the lounge, all over everything! She even cleaned Jeannie's glasses a couple of time hehe.
We had a great time chatting, eating and drinking on Saturday night.
Jeannie, we noticed was looking over her shoulder for funnel web spiders but thankfully didn't see one.
We'll post part 2 when Greg emails us the piccies he took.
Then you can see the photos that were taken at the 3 sisters lookout.
