Tessy Van Gogh......my earless baby girl

Hi everyone,
I'm taking over Noah's blog to let you know how Tess went today. The vet called during the day to say that they would have to remove a little more of her ear than they planned because the growth was a little bigger than they initially thought. They have sent it all to pathology for further testing as it did look unusual. Bryan picked her up this afternoon and she seemed fine. She walked out of the surgery very nicely. Now she is home and resting. Here she is with her head on Bryan's lap.
The bandage is wrapped right around her head so I haven't seen her actual ear as yet. Bryan is taking her back on Saturday for a check up. As I'll be away for the weekend I wont be able to update until next week. Paws and fingers crossed that it isn't anything serious.
My poor little mushy face. She looks so sad.

Tess the Leper OR the boo boo must go!

Hi hi everyone, it's me Tess. Well I have to leave the pack tomorrow morning. I'll be spending the day at the vet having the growth on my ear removed. The vet called today to say that they found some bacteria in a few of the cells. This bacteria is like leprosy and could spread if they don't remove it. B & D think it's best to go ahead with the procedure even though chances are it would be ok. Of course my ear will never be the same......

Willow: What.....what's this Tess. Is the boo boo finally going?
Tess: Yep Willow. Don't worry. I'll be ok. She better give me a bloody treat this time.......
Lucy: Can I have your breakfast tomorrow morning?
Tess: LUCY MY EAR IS GETTING CHOPPED
Lucy: Geez...drama queen
Tess: sigh......

D: Tess is having the growth removed Thursday morning. It's just a precaution as we don't want the bacteria to spread.

Noah: Hello.....my blog here!!!!!....geez
Well maties, I have the very best news. Remember all the protesting I've been doing regarding the koalas being caged indoors? Well WE WON the battle. The Land & Environment Court have said NO to the developer's request to house poor koalas indoors. They actually based their decision on a technicality rather than the welfare of the koalas but the end result is a good one.

The last item on our agenda is that D is going on her annual girlie weekend this Friday with her school chums. This year they are off to Noosa Heads, a beach side tourist town in Queensland. The weather is really warm up there so D has to pack her summer clothes. Summer clothes = white body....crikey. If anyone is in the vicinity of Noosa this weekend, wear sunglasses. Her whiteness is blinding!

So we'll be back next week. Have a good week & weekend everyone.
Catch ya all later,
