G'day maties
Remember a while ago we told you that a TV show called Sydney Weekender was being filmed here at our B&B. The show 'aired' here yesterday afternoon and D recorded it on her iPhone. The quality isn't the best but it gives you a good idea of what it's like.
Now they were actually filming about a company called Auswalk. They organise people to do guided and self guided walks around Australia. When they come to the Blue Mountains our B&B is one of the places they stay at. When someone books a room with us via Auswalk, D & B do a 3 course dinner for them as well as the obligatory breakfast. They are usually very tired after the days walking as they usually have to tackle lots and lots of stairs throughout the valleys in the Blue Mountains National Park.
The second video shows the group having dinner...well it was actually filmed at lunchtime so B had to cover the door to make it look dark. While B was being filmed, D was slaving in the kitchen preparing the meal.
It was all very exciting and B & D are happy. "Broomelea" looks great.
We are going to send the DVD down to Brooke & Greg and they are going to upload it to YouTube for us. You should be able to see the whole show then as it does a great job at promoting the walks in the Blue Mountains. They only just touched on it as the area is huge with hundreds of walking trails varying in difficulty.
