Tess the patchwork quilt

Hi hi it's me Tess
Well during the week I had a bit of a procedure done. I went to see my vet Andrew who wanted to make me even more beautiful by removing some ugly lumps. This one below was on my butt.

And this one was on my side. They weren't scary lumps. One was a fatty lump and the other was the result of an infected hair folicle.

D & B are calling me Patches but that's my dale friend in Atlantas name. They say I look like a patchwork quilt. How rude !

I'm supposed to be resting and taking things easy but that's a little difficult living with Lucy.

I hope everyone has a good week. It's nearly Christmas time. If you're good dogs Sandy Paws will bring you treats. I've been good, hope you have!

Love Tess xx

The sheet game & our dear friend Dorcus

There's a game we love to play. Tess is covered in a sheet and we all try to attack her. She just loves it. We all do.

Noah xx

Maties,

During the week we lost a good blogging pal. One of the Thuglets, young Dorcus crossed the bridge suddenly due to a horrible illness.

We want to pass on our condolences to the Thuglet's pinkies. The Thuglets have been our maties for a very long time. Infact, they were one of our very first internet pals long before DWB. We remember the day Dorcus joined her Thuglet family. We all had turns of guessing what her name would be. It feels like yesterday.

Rest in Peace dear Dorcus. You were much to young to cross the bridge.

Colin Harries comes to visit

What a surprise we had last Wednesday. Our best pal Colin Harries and his pinkies came to Leura to see us. Errrr, just make yourself at home matie.
Colin telling Tess all about his travels around Australia.

John & Marylin, Colin's pinkies.

Willow whispering something to Colin. Must be good, he didn't move.

And the secret whispering continues.........

The strangest thing happened on Wednesday morning. Lucy came downstairs with a big swollen eye lid. It was so bad she couldn't open her eye for ages and she was very subdued which is not like Lucy at all. A quick trip to the vet revealed that something had bitten her above the eye.
She was given two shots, one a pain killer and one to reduce the swelling. She wasn't her normal self for the rest of the day but she has come right now and she's back to tormenting the dales.

Well we've had a very wet week and we're hoping for some sunshine. It is summer after all but you'd never know it.

ps. D made a little mistake regarding Tess' birthday. It's actually the 7th December not the day of her surgery - the 15th....D is a ditz!

We're back and Tess' lumps

G'day blogging maties
Our little stint at Kelston Country Kennels is over and we're home. D & B had a great time in Japan and had the chance to catch up with DWB pals Jazz & Dixie and their pinkies. They now have a little human sissie called Rena and D said she is a real cutie.
D snapped some pics of our drive home after being picked up from the kennel. Here we are arriving in Leura.
Tess & Lucy like being up close and personal.

The Volvo is nice and roomy especially with the back seat down flat, there's room for all of us to lay down :)

D & B had such a great time in Japan but they really did miss us. D felt bad that she missed my 10th birthday but I got lots and lots of cuddles when she got back so I forgive her hehe.

Just before they went away D found a slight lump on Tessy's side. She also has had a warty type lump on her back for sometime. Today D took Tess to the vet to have them checked out. A kacky needle was inserted into each lump and Andrew our vet had a good look at them. Turns out they're fatty lumps but on the 15th December they'll be removed....crikey that's Tessy's birthday lol.
We'd like to thank our maties who have send positive thoughts and well wishes for Tess today. It's much appreciated :)

Here are a few photos that we love of Tess.

Hope everyone has had a good week.

Lucy's Gotcha Day

Today is Lucy's gotcha day
She's been a Leuradale for 5 years now
Lucy was the third pup to join our family and she is a live wire.
No one has as much energy as Lucy.
I sure cant keep up with her.

She is super fast

And super naughty

But she sure can be super sweet
She likes using Willow's head to rest her feet

Happy Gotcha Day Lucy
Well D & B are off to Japan for a short break and we are off to Kelston Country Kennels, so we wont be around for about 2 weeks.
Take care everyone, we'll miss you all.
Love

Noah & Lucy visit the vet

G'day blogging pals,
Today Lucy & I had an appointment to see Andrew our Vet.
Lucy needed her annual kennel cough injection which has come at a very good time.
You see we are off to Kelston Country Kennels this Sunday for 2 weeks.
That's right folks, they're leaving us again.
I have been on some meds for arthritis. I was given some pain meds a few weeks back which worked really well. Once they stopped my ouchies came back again and I was very sore in the mornings. Even though I would warm out of it after a while, D & B feel that being on the meds and pain free is best especially while I'm at the kennel.
Andrew took some blood from my leg (see below) to test my kidney function. I had a piddle and he took some of that too. Now they can monitor my kidney function while I take the meds.
I am such a good boy at the vet. Everyone loves me and I get lots of treats.

Lucy got some treats too even though she was all over the place. She even got up on Andrews chair. He thought she was funny but we all know she is plain mad.
He did say she is a beautiful girl and very healthy with a lovely coat.
Sorry the photos of Lucy are blurred...she cant sit still.

Anyhoo, it's Lucy's gotcha day this Saturday so we'll probably get one last post in before B & D head off to Japan.

Hope everyone is having a good week.

What's been happening down under

G'day blogging pals
As you probably know it's springtime down under. We've got a pretty big garden but it's not your usual Aussie garden. Ours is full of foreign plants and they make our garden look beautiful, especially in Spring and Autumn. We thought we'd share some of the photos Bryan took earlier this month. Hope you like em!
Hi Tessy.
The path up to the front door.
Our front gate and sign.

The front yard.

You can see the front of the house in this piccie.

As much as we love springtime, it's done nothing but rain lately then last Saturday it actually snowed all day. Now that was a surprise!

Crikey, we've been gone for ages....

Oh errr, just let me clean myself up before I get started..... Ahhh that's better.

Now, you're probably wondering who the hell I am hehe. Ok ok, yes we kind of disappeared for a while. Clearly not my fault !!!!!
What have we been doing since we last posted sometime last century.....well let's see. We've been eating.

Resting, snoozing and slowly making our way back onto the couch from which we've been banned for sometime.

And generally being cute.

Lucy is quite put out because I didnt include her photo in this post. I would have, truly Lucy but I cant figure out how to move the photos from the top to the bottom so you miss out.....
Noah xx
ps. hopefully D will help us post and more importantly visit your blogs more often !

Meeting two special friends

Oh my, we've had a bit of a gap posting on our trip to the USA.
After visiting our maties in New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Boston we continued further north to see Willow's almost twin Putter and her family. We had already met up with Putters mum in Northford but Putter wasnt there so we called in on our way through and met Putter's little human brothers and her dad too.
It was a very hot day and Putter was exhausted after showing us all around her front yard.

She's a very fast runner and loves her ball.

We hadnt really planned the next part of our holiday but a last minute change of plans found us in Montreal Canada. Well we all know who lives in Montreal. Yep our mate Sophie and her mum.

Sophie showed us all around the mountain in the heart of Montreal. We walked all over and enjoyed the great views of the city.
Sophie was a great tour guide.

This restaurant was great. We tried some delicious smoked meat and it tasted fantastic. Of course we ate way too much everywhere we went hehe. Good thing we did a lot of walking.....phew!

Thanks Sophie & Sherry for showing us around Montreal and thanks to Kate for the tour of Newberryport.
We really had the best time in the States. We met so many great people and their wonderful dogs.
Thanks everyone!
