The Million Paws Walk 2008 & about me meme

G'day Maties,
Last week our pinkies took us on the annual Million Paws Walk. This event is a fund raiser for the RSPCA and we all know how important that is. It is held at many locations all over the country and we went down to Sydney's Olympic Park. We saw hundreds of dogs and their pinkies. We met up with our friend Mindy who is now the same size as the girls.

When we got there we all gathered in a large park where we listened to the head honcho of the RSPCA give his speech. Then Anthony Field from the Wiggles gave a talk about his role on the tv show Animal Rescue (which pinky can't watch because it's too sad).
Anyhoooo lots of people were gathered around listening to the speech and some were standing underneath this big sculpture. Suddenly thousands of litres of water erupted from the sculpture which turned out to be one giant fountain, and they were absolutely soaked to the skin which was rather unfortunate because it was a very cold day......eeeeeep! I can tell you pinky would not have been happy if she was under there, besides getting the hair wet she would have been very cold. B and the girls just missed getting wet but D and I were well back.

The walk went for 3 kilometres and when we got back to the park we had some lunch and listened to a band. The was also lots of doggy and pet merchandise to look at.

Check out the two new maties we made on the day. That is Jaffa the airedale and Belle the WFT.

We had a great time and it was great to see so many people and their pooches supporting it.

We've also been tagged by our new airedale friend George the airegirl to play the about me meme.

The rules of the game get posted at the beginning. Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post, the player than tags 4 or 5 people and post their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Let the person who tagged you know when you have posted your answer.

1. What was I doing 10 years ago? Hmmm hard to say as I wasn't born yet

!2. What are the 5 things on my to do list for today: Sleep, go walkies, eat dinner, bark at guests and chase possums

3. Snacks I enjoy: Frozen hoki fillets, bacon, cheese and liver treats

4. Things I would do if I were a billionaire:Just like George I would make D & B stop working, then I would fence the yard and turn our property into a big dog leash free area

5. Three of my bad habits: ok some of you may be surprised but I'm a whinger. I cry to go out, I cry to come in etc you get the picture. I can be antisocial and if something is in my way I find it difficult to get past so I whinge some more

6. Five places I have lived:I've only ever lived here and with the breeder

7. Five jobs I have had: I'm a guard dog. I babysit my sissies. I make sure possums stay away. I protect the pinkies and I walk D to the station in the mornings.

I think I'll tag Kirby, Mack, Mango and Moco. If you've already played just ignore me, I won't mind lol.

Well that's it for today.

Hugs and tail wags,

Noah xx

Thank you Faya

First of all I want to say a big thank you to all my friends who came to Australia to help Putter and I celebrate our birthdays. I'm overwelmed by all the birthday wishes and I even met some new dog pals which was great.

Secondly, and this is very important, the party would never have happened without the help of Asta, Koobuss, Ruby and Maggie & Mitch....thank you all xxxx

Lastly I got a big surprise today when a package arrived from my friend Faya. I got a lovely pink piggy, a big ball, a soft boomerang and 4 daledanas. There was also a lovely Swiss keyring and the best picture of Faya. Thanks Faya and Veronique for thinking of me xxxx
Quarantine may have taken something from the package because our laws are very strict. They didn't say what they took unfortunately.

I also received 2 lovely e-cards today one from Balboa and one from Rocky, Bear and Angel Lacylulu. They're both so sweet.

Thanks for making my birthday so special.
Love Willow xx

The Party Continues

After our day on Sydney Harbour yesterday we headed off into the outback for some four wheel driving. The Thuglets decided that running along side the 4 Wheel drive would be more fun while we all watched on. There's Mango, Herc, Putter, Molly and Gertrude inside the car while on top there is Toffy, JB our new cat matie, Kershey and Kaci, Clover, Rocky, Casper, Nikki, Buddy, Mocco and Simba.

Those crazy Thuglets even brought along their balls....lol.
Eventually we arrived at Ayres Rock. It was an exhausting climb to the top and very dangerous in parts but most of us managed it without falling off.
Girl Girl was a bit worried about climbing to the top as it is rather huge. Lorenza got stuck halfway up and needed help. Pacco has so much energy she ran up and down quite a few times while we all watched in amazement. The rest of us were all done just trying to get to the top. Good on those that made it.

On the way back to NSW we decided to make a quick detour to The Great Barrier Reef in Queensland. Willow thought it would be fun to give some of our maties a scuba diving lesson. I didn't even realise she was a qualified instructor. Taffy took to it very well. We were worried that he would chew through his equipment but no it was all ok. There is Lacie underneath him.

Ruby is there with Koobuss underneath her. Asta is over on the right hand side and Babystan watching out for her just above. Lola and Willow are in the centre. Lola is listening carefully as Willow bubbles out instructions. It's a bit hard to understand her under the water. There's Sparky on the upper right and Katie on the bottom right.
The sights and colours under the sea are just gorgeous.

Some of the wheelies took a trip out to Jim Jim Falls. This attraction is probably a lesser known sight here in Oz but very beautiful. All the wheelies had to put their wheels into four wheel drive mode as it was a bit on the rough side and muddy in parts. Myrna got stuck at one point and Gilbert and Seymour had to haul her out. How embarrassing....

On the way back to the Bed & Breakfast we stopped at Leura Cascades. This is only around the corner from home so some of the gang went back as they were too exhausted after partying for 2 days.
Here we have Crikit, Spartacus (Sparky), Jake and JH looking up. Then there is Katie having a roach on the rocks, Eric and Asta looking down. Teka is trying to dig into the rocks...maybe looking for gold and Sam and Zorra doing a dive off the rocks.
On the bottom row is Sparky and our new airegal friend George. Also there's Ellie and I having a private moment.
Mango, Gussie and Willow the black dale are right on the bottom of the photo.

We had a blast at the party. Willow & Putter want to thank everyone for coming all the way down to Australia. Ruby did a great job on the invite and Asta and Koobuss were wonderful photographers and went to so much trouble for us, thank you both. Finally we want to thank Maggie and Mitch for their help too.

Hugs and tail wags

Happy Barkday Putter & Willow

Here we are RUBY..... down here!!!!!!!
G'day Maties!!!!!
It's party time.

Aire-ruby has landed and everyone has arrived at our B&B here in the Blue Mountains. We all got together for a photo in the front yard. Then the Pinkies brought out lots of plates of bacon and eggs for everyone. We need energy for a big day on the harbour.

We headed down to Bondi Beach to get some rays. The weather is gorgeous and some of us went in for a dip. Alf even took a scooner of beer into the surf. Asta with Lacie as pilot have hired a plane to drag the happy birthday sign across the beach.
Flash is chasing Peanut. Cassidy & Harry with Babystan are looking on. Lorenza is wearing a stunning dress. There Eric, Ruby and GG, Mack at Rubys feet. Lucy, Willow ,Tess and Herc singing to Putter. Pearl Maggie and Mitch goofing off. Happy Gaia Petra , T Bone with his lobster & eel. Joey has a bottle of vino and wearing a vest cause he's a bit cold. Noah is playing the didgeridoo for Willow and Putter. Penny & Poppy are there too.
Molly, Shearman, Butchy, Molly & Gertrude and Taffy and Snickers with her pink bandana with Asta Marie, Dewey, Sitka, MJ, Toby and Thor who is enjoying the sun and sand.
