My visit to the vet

G'day Maties,
First of all I just want to thank everyone for the well wishes, prayers and paw crossing. I'm sure it's helping. As for Lacie and Asta, well their help has been pawesome. We were a little concerned about the cord on Lacie's blender but thankfully the house didn't catch fire and all is well apart from a few scorch marks on the carpet. Anyway Asta had a fire escape plan at the ready and we've already had 2 fire drills today.

Yesterday B & D took me to see my vet Stephen. They described all my crazy symptoms to him. Then he did a couple of basic neurological tests on me as well as watching me run up and down the driveway to determine the co-ordination in my back legs. In typical fashion I was as right as rain while there. He did notice that my left leg was a bit slower and didn't rise as high as my right but then that could have been from birth. B says that my slowness is not restricted to my leg as I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed...................I don't know what me means!

Anyhoo, Stephen has taken me off my previcox and has put me on a mild steroid medication for 1 week which I start tomorrow (Thursday). He seems to think that the root of my pain may be from a pinched nerve or there may be some swelling which is putting pressure on the nerve. If I'm still very sore after the week is up I will have to have an MRI and see a specialist down in Sydney. So we are keeping our paws and fingers crossed that this is the solution to my problem.

Then there is my new magnetic bed which B ordered for me last week. Not that they have much faith in magnets but it's a very comfy bed. Lucy's already tried to have a go at it.....silly cow!

Ok enough medical stuff. Here is our video for today. It shows me and my sissies hanging in the kitchen. They're obviously scrounging for food and being their naughty selves. I'm just stuck in the middle of the commotion.

I'll let you know how I get on with the steroids. Take care and we hope you're having a great week.

Back to the vet & Lucy my crazy sister

G'day maties,

Well D hopes to get me back to see Stephen my vet this Tuesday. The pinkies are very worried that my soreness isn't directly related to my arthritis but from a pinched nerve. It's all very odd. I can be perfectly fine one minute, playing with the gals or resting in my basket then whamo I just start crying and crying from the pain. I can't walk because of it and then it just goes away after a few minutes. This happens at least once or twice a day. B says I'm not agile on my feet especially when the girls come barreling past but then that problem could be the arthritis. So you see, the pinkies are totally confused as to what is going on. Has anyone every experienced this before??

D is extra worried because soon they are off to Japan for a holiday and we have to go to Kelston Country Kennels for a while. Hopefully something can be sorted this week as to what is going on. Thank goodness Lacie said she was on the way to administer some massage therapy. She really knows how to use those paws.

Gee this isn't a very cheery post so far so we thought we'd leave you with this video of my sissy Lucy. We always suspected she wasn't quite right and now we know why lol.

tailwags,

Noah xx
