Hi everyone,
I'm taking over Noah's blog to let you know how Tess went today. The vet called during the day to say that they would have to remove a little more of her ear than they planned because the growth was a little bigger than they initially thought. They have sent it all to pathology for further testing as it did look unusual. Bryan picked her up this afternoon and she seemed fine. She walked out of the surgery very nicely. Now she is home and resting. Here she is with her head on Bryan's lap.
The bandage is wrapped right around her head so I haven't seen her actual ear as yet. Bryan is taking her back on Saturday for a check up. As I'll be away for the weekend I wont be able to update until next week. Paws and fingers crossed that it isn't anything serious.
My poor little mushy face. She looks so sad.

Oh Tess, you look so sad - I hope you manage to come to terms with your ear - I'm sure you will still look completely beautiful though.
At least you have Bryan to look after, keep your paws up and take it easy. (If the others call you names let me know)!.

I think you are still a little stoned in that photo. I am sure you will be able to pull off your new look with your usual grace and style. Besides, it will give you an advantage in bitey face games. One less thing for your sissies to latch on to.

Girl, you are an AIREDALE!!! You've got it ALL and no loss of anything will change that. Who knows you might start a whole new style & become a fashionista/DIVA...
Rest, relax - take it easy feel better and we know a really GOOD plastic surgeon - can you come to Texas - he does fabulous reconstruction....
Be sure to tell the Vet Saturday that you would like Bryan to get you some ICE CREAM!!!!

Our thoughts and prayers are with your lil girl that the pathology report is not serious. She is so gorgeous that having one less ear will not be any big deal, in fact, I think it is pawtastic! I would ask her out on a date for sure.

When I was born, my ears weren't normal, and my bad back yard breeder cut them. So now, I have two little circles, where I supposed to have triangles. Mommy says I am cute, so Tess, if you ear is not as pointy as it should be;you are loved and still very cute.
Also, Mommy said her older dog, Sylvie, had skin cancer, but she didn't die or suffer any ill effects from it. In fact, Mommy found out three years later, the little bump was cancer.

Oh Tess - we're sorry we haven't left a message until now but we've been away on a 'long weekend'. We hope you're feeling a bit better now - you'll always be beautiful no matter what happens, someone as sweet as you could never look anything other than gorgeous! Poor Tess, we hope she is feeling better soon. To answer your questions about our boat trip. Windsor is only an hour by boat from our Marina, which is in Bray. So if we only have a short amount of time its a really nice trip.
